Who are we,
and what do we do?
You may have heard our music on the Netherlandic CeltCast radio, for example. Our take on the traditional Croatian folk song Naranča made it to the Monthly Markers.
Or, you may have noticed our music in Vigor the game trailers (see the Full PC Release trailer or the Bloodline trailer).
Or, you may have discovered us in some pagan, dark, or neo-folk Spotify playlist alongside Faun, Omnia, Heilung, Eivør Pálsdóttir, Percival Schuttenbach, Żywiołak, and many others.

As for basic info on us,
our band was founded in 2018 in Brno, Czechia, and currently has 7 members. See us here.
We say that we play
witch folk
and create and tell a story. Ironically enough, it’s a story of a misfortune demon who’s had some bad luck himself.
For promoters
Lichočar is a band for whenever you want something fresh, magical, and special.
As you can see below, we always try to create the right mood and atmosphere for the occasion. We are flexible and like to get it just right so that the audience leaves with the kind of experience and memories they’ve come for.
With our eerie tunes and multilingual lyrics in ancient or rare European languages, we can easily create an uncanny and darksome ambience. Or an enchanting one.
Or, we can leave the forest spirit mask at home and make it simple and civil for once. If you want a relaxed, dancing crowd, we can put on the step shoes instead.

Our experience and technical info
- We‚ve played at open-air festivals, in music clubs, or at small acoustic evenings.
